Caitlin Caspersen
Senior Program Officer, Builders Initiative

Caitlin Caspersen is a Senior Program Officer at Builders Initiative helping to advance its multi-faceted missions, which include creating humane food systems for farmed animals and encouraging society to invest in artists as a means to cultivate thriving communities.
Before joining Builders Initiative, Caitlin established her philanthropic initiative and grantmaking expertise as a management consultant for TCC Group, a mission-driven firm focused on systems change to solve complex social problems. There, she advised companies, foundations, and non-profits to align their respective missions with their philanthropy and implement giving programs.
Caitlin earned a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and put her degree to work as a fifth grade teacher to English-language learners while working with Teach for America. She graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in art photography.
Caitlin continues to view life through the lens of her camera while continuously learning the social and natural ecosystems that start in her Chicago neighborhood and extend into the greater Midwest.
