The Builders Vision oceans team strategically deploys several forms of innovative capital, including grants and investments.
The more than 400,000 people living across the 700 islands of The Bahamas depend on the health of their marine ecosystems. Builders Vision committed $70 million to support The Bahamas Debt Conversion Project for Marine Conservation, building on $22.5 million in previous grants and investments. It’s the first time a family office participated in a debt-for-nature swap and sets an example for other investors interested in doing similar deals.

Builders Vision and the National Geographic Society partnered to establish a new program focused on storytelling for a healthy ocean. This collaboration provides the opportunity to participate in National Geographic Storytellers Collective Workshops, enabling our partners to tell their powerful stories and help catalyze impactful solutions.

In 2025, we hosted convenings at the Blue Economy Finance Forum and UN Ocean Conference, where we introduced a new report, “Making Waves: Transformative Ocean Investment Opportunities”. Developed in partnership with the World Economic Forum, the Ocean Risk and Resilience Action Alliance (ORRAA) and Katapult Ocean, the report highlights several ocean investment opportunities and demonstrates how the sector is foundational to resilient economies and thriving communities.
