Elizabeth Trop manages the accounting for Builders Vision’s operating budget, including facilitating vendor payments and providing data-driven insights to budget owners.
Prior to joining Builders Vision, Elizabeth spent three years at Ernst & Young, working in the Financial Services Assurance practice where she served clients primarily in the banking and capital markets sector. In this role, she assisted with overseeing the audit process, including managing staff, researching the latest guidance, and reviewing documentation in detail to ensure high audit quality. There, she also worked closely with the accounting departments of audit clients, providing her with a deeper understanding of the day-to-day functions of an accounting team.
A Chicagoland native, Elizabeth went out of state for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees, obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Elon University in 2019 and her Master’s in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin in 2020. After moving back to Chicago in 2020, she became a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois. Outside of work, Elizabeth is an avid knitter and is a regular at her local trivia night every Monday.
