Haley Burns is a values-driven food and agriculture leader, passionate about solving climate and health crises through the lens of agriculture and land use. Haley leans on her diverse experience across the sector – philanthropy, non-profit, corporate, K-12 education, etc. – to deploy our agriculture portfolio for maximum impact.

Prior to joining Builders Vision, Haley has worked across the agriculture sector including: The Walton Family Foundation where she built a new agriculture philanthropy program; Environmental Initiative’s Agriculture Program where she convened public, non-profit, and corporate agriculture leaders; Aramark where she managed sustainable food procurement and zero-waste packaging initiatives; KIPP Houston where she launched a food and garden education program; and Americorps FoodCorps. Haley brings system expertise, creativity and strategic thinking to the team.

Haley is on the board of The Land Institute and serves on The Global Alliance for the Future of Food’s Steering Committee.

Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Haley studied Public Health at George Washington University in DC and completed a Food Policy certificate from Arizona State University.

In her free time, Haley spends much of her time thinking about and enjoying food. She especially loves to whip up new concoctions in the kitchen using ingredients from her garden and beehives.
