As Chief of Staff, Julia Luscombe is responsible for helping set Builders Vision’s priorities, tracking progress throughout the year, managing the Leadership Team and Board meetings, and executing on special projects. Julia brings a deep commitment to community-led change and cross-sector collaboration to her work.
Previously, she served as Vice President of Strategic Planning & Portfolio Management at Feeding America, where she facilitated multi-year planning and created systems for organizational effectiveness. She also led the development of a first-of-its-kind strategic framework shared by 400+ Feeding America network organizations, centering the voices of 3,000+ people facing hunger. Prior to Feeding America, Julia was a strategy consultant at Monitor Deloitte, where she focused on customer experience, innovation, and data/analytics transformation programs. She also researched community economic development as a Fulbright Grantee in Ecuador.
Julia holds a B.A./B.Sc. from the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics & Political Science. She has been recognized as an Aspen Institute Food Leaders Fellow (2023) and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader (2024). Julia enjoys exploring Chicago’s neighborhoods, traveling, and cooking creative recipes to avoid food waste.
