Monica Adractas is an innovation oriented capital leader in the tech/AI ecosystem. Monica has a track record of building businesses and investment programs at CPP Investments (VC/Growth), Meta, Box, Starbucks and McKinsey. Monica is also an active Board Member and Advisory Board member for several venture/growth funds. She has been based in the San Francisco Bay Area for approximately 20 years and started her career in New York City.

Most recently Monica built and led the Growth Equity (GE) investment program for CPP Investments, Canada’s ~C$800B investment management organization. GE began from inception in 2019 and is now a multi-billion dollar investment program spanning Venture Capital and Growth funds and direct investments. Now a Senior Advisor, Monica was part of CPPIB’s Global Leadership and Senior Private Equity leadership team, chaired the GE investment committee, and served on several ICs spanning buyout, secondaries, alternative energy, and Asia PE.

Previously, Monica was an operator in the innovation economy. She helped found Workplace by Facebook, a standalone enterprise SaaS business harnessing Facebook’s consumer collaboration technology. Before Facebook, Monica was at the enterprise SaaS leader Box where she pioneered programs instrumental to Box’s IPO and drove new growth initiatives for Starbucks Coffee Company in its early hyper-growth years. Monica spent 10 years at McKinsey & Company, serving clients across growth, go-to-market, and innovation.

Monica is an active Board Member, currently serving on the boards of Lytx and TechnoServe. Monica has been an Advisory Board member for several VC/Growth investment funds.

Monica has a BA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
