Santiago Guallpa
IT Manager, Builders Vision
Santiago began his career in IT over 12 years ago, and has developed a strong background in technical support, project management, and team leadership. Before joining BV, Santiago worked at Northwestern University as the Lead Technical Support Specialist, managing IT projects, leading a help desk team, and providing hands-on support to staff across the Alumni Relations and Development office.
Santiago earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University. A first-generation American, he was born and raised in Chicago’s Albany Park neighborhood, with family roots in Mexico and Ecuador. Outside of work, Santiago enjoys playing video games, reading, tinkering with network and computing infrastructure, exercising, and trying out new restaurants. He is an avid runner and has completed four marathons — when not running races, he is busy chasing after his two young sons and doing household projects with his wife.
